As a Collective, we’re in the process of quickly moving towards a new Paradigm of living and being on this planet. And I’m sure you can feel it too. As we continue to evolve from beings who needed to learn how to just survive the basic threats of life on this planet, we’re now in a stage where we can explore consciousness, purpose, forward movement and enjoyment of our lives here on Earth. Who did we come here to be? What is our role in bringing forth healing and wholeness to Earth to make this the most enjoyable and full experience for EVERYONE that’s here on this planet? What purpose are we meant to fulfill?

That word causes so many people to get hung up though: Purpose. It can feel so heavy and charged and laden with pressures about figuring out just what it was you came here to do in this life. But I think the process of determining our “purpose” can actually be so much more light and fun than many people might imagine. In my opinion and experience, your purpose is simply following after any desire and delight you find inside yourself. I think listening to and pursuing the things that light you up is the quickest (and most fun!) way to determine what it is you’re meant to be doing at any given point in this life. That’s truly all your purpose is!

And the exciting news is that more and more people are beginning to ask these questions about their life. We get to have the luxury of doing the things we love and pursuing our personal and spiritual gifts in this lifetime because we don’t have to use all our resources and energy on gathering food, finding shelter, surviving preventable health risks, or working long hours every day just to survive. Thanks to modern science, medicine, farming, technology, etc. (all of which also have very real downsides of course when not approached with consciousness), we have the freedom to spend our time looking inward, asking how we can improve the current systems in place, sharing our insights with larger populations of people, and scaling our work and business too thanks to the internet. We don’t have to trade hours for money anymore, and the possibilities for what we can do with our lives are truly endless.

All of these changes and advances in society also bring with them the endless availability and presence of business and personal growth advice you could possibly imagine. Which, while this is a gift, if we don’t know how to filter what’s right for us, we can end up getting influenced and pulled in all the wrong directions. As someone who’s gotten sucked into her fair amount of courses, retreats, coaching and more (many of which have been incredibly beneficial), the one thing that single-handedly helped me the most was learning about my Human Design. The reason for this is the ability it gave me to tap into my unique design and guidance system, rather than constantly needing to look elsewhere to find it. And as I’ve continued to learn and de-condition to find what my true desires are and work strategies should be, I can make more aligned decisions about what courses to take or who to hire based on what actually sounds good to me, and not because they used a genius marketing tactic on me.

Last year I felt pulled to hire a business coach with the main goal of helping me find greater clarity as to what it is I should be pursuing at this point in my life. The decision felt aligned, even though it was a scary risk to spend literally thousands on this one-on-one coaching experience. And while I learned many valuable things from him, the truth is I gained so much more clarity from a $200 reading I did to learn my Human Design. I wish I could gift everyone the opportunity to dive deep into their design because I know how affirming, clarifying, and exciting it is to get so much insight into oneself. But the truth is that even just knowing your Type and your Authority (how you make decisions) already gives you so much insight into how to follow the things that are uniquely meant for you and that light you up.

As the world continues to move in a direction of increased complexity, insights, opinions, and information, I’ve found that the more I can simplify things for myself and return to the core of who I am - following the internal guidance meant just for me - the more clear, beautiful, and full this life becomes for me. We’ve been made to feel that this life is about improving and adding on to who we are and becoming what other people expect us to become, when really, it’s about unlearning so much of what we’ve been taught and learning how to uncover the true, pure, whole human that’s underneath all of it instead. That’s where the magic lies. That’s how we find our purpose.

Craving this kind of simplicity and clarity? Dive deep into your personal design by ordering your Design Guide, or booking a one-on-one reading.
