How to Start De-Conditioning + Journal Prompts for Each Human Design Type

We come into this life as whole, beautifully unique humans with our own gifts to offer and our own ways of navigating through the world.

Then well-meaning parents, teachers, and all other forms of outside influence begin to share *their* pre-conditioned ways of navigating the world - like how one finds success, deals with stress, or navigates relationships, and before we know it, we've imprinted all the outside "wisdom" of the world, but forgotten we’ve had a perfectly tuned-in guidance system inside us all along.

One of the first things I do when I tell people about Human Design is remind them this knowledge won't instantly click into place. When learning about it as adults, we have to remember it's going to take time to de-condition from the ways we've been raised and from the information we've picked up along the way that may not even apply to us or isn't beneficial to our personal path.

So these affirmations for each Type + corresponding journal prompts are a good place to start. Stepping into your Highest Self is less about *becoming* someone or adding things to your life, but rather about stripping everything away that doesn't belong from the whole, magnetic human you're already created to be.

Manifestors

Affirmation: Fill up all the space you're meant to take up, and know that you don't have to play small or apologize for your bigness.

Journal:

  • Where are you keeping yourself small?

  • Where are you wasting time getting approval from others?

  • What would you be doing if you didn't care what anyone thought about it?

Generators

Affirmation: Know that helping others out of guilt or obligation helps no one. You are most in service to others when you're doing the things you love and get to share that joy with them.

Journal:

  • What activities or obligations drain your energy the most?

  • What are things you do for others that you feel you're "supposed" to do?

  • What is one thing you're feeling particularly drawn to right now in life?

Manifesting Generators

Affirmation: You don't have to follow one linear path in your life, and you're allowed to change your mind and directions when the excitement is no longer there. It's not selfish for you to only say "yes" to the things you really want to do.

Journal:

  • What's something you're engaged with that's no longer lighting you up?

  • Where are you holding yourself back from doing something you're excited about?

  • What would your life look like if you believed you could accomplish the things you want without suffering to get there?

Projectors

Affirmation: The things that come easily to you are your gifts to offer the world and you're not meant to work a "normal" schedule of hours of output. You are meant to nurture and grow the gifts you already have.

Journal:

  • What's something that comes naturally to you and that you enjoy spending your time doing?

  • What's one way you can start recognizing yourself for your inherent gifts and work on nurturing them?

  • Where can you create space in your schedule to spend time honing a skill or interest of yours?

Reflectors

Affirmation: You are meant to experience surprise and delight in your life and you don't have to carry the heaviness of others with you.

Journal:

  • Are you in environments that allow you to feel nurtured and delighted frequently?

  • Where and who are you with when you feel your best?

  • What's a grounding day-end ritual you can do to help return to your whole self?

And if you feel like going crazy, the truth is, all of these journal prompts would be helpful for any type to work through if you want to take the time to do it ;) So take yourself out on a date, bring your journal, and start getting back to that whole, sparkly soul of yours.
